Crude oil down 0.3% on weak Asian cues

Oil for June delivery moved down by Rs 11, or 0.28%

Crude oil futures fell by 0.29 per cent to Rs 3,785 per barrel today as speculators trimmed positions amid a weakening trend in Asian trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in May traded Rs 11, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 3,785 per barrel in 1,475 lots.

In a likewise manner, oil for June delivery moved down by Rs 11, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 3,869 per barrel in 248 lots.

The trading sentiment eased at futures trade after crude oil prices fell in Asian trade today, analysts said.

Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for June delivery eased 8 cents to USD 59.31, while Brent crude for June rose 2 cents to USD 65.41 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange in late-morning trade.
