Crude oil futures prices today fell by 0.14% to Rs 6,252 per barrel, as speculators trimmed positions amid a mixed trend in the Asian trade.
The trading sentiment turned weak at futures trade in line with a mixed trend in Asian trade as investors focused on a fall in US crude inventories, indicating robust demand in the world's top consumer, marketmen said.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in January shed Rs 9, or 0.14%, to Rs 6,252 per barrel in 1,557 lots.

Meanwhile, crude oil for delivery in February contracts shed 10 cents to USD 100.22 a barrel, while Brent North Sea crude for February gained 18 cents to USD 112.36 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
