Crude oil futures up 0.41 pc on global cues

Crude oil futures traded higher by 0.41 per cent to Rs 3,684 per barrel in futures market today as speculators widened bets, taking positive cues from global markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in December rose Rs 15, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 3,684 per barrel, in a business turnover of 3,031 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in January was trading higher by Rs 13, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 3,694 per barrel in 687 lots.

Analysts said, speculators widened their positions on the back of a firm trend overseas, which influenced crude futures here.
 

Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate gained 0.17 per cent, to USD 57.40 per barrel, while Brent crude, used to price international oils, rose 0.25 per cent at USD 63.39 per barrel.
