Crude palm oil down 0.3% on global cues

Oil for delivery in December shed 0.31%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Crude palm oil prices declined by Rs 2.10 to Rs 547.50 per 10 kg today, as speculators offloaded positions amid a weakening global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in January declined by Rs 2.10, or 0.38%, to Rs 547.50 per 10 kg in business turnover of 31 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in December shed Rs 1.70, or 0.31%, to Rs 544.10 per 10 kg in 15 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators in tandem with a weakening global trend mainly led to the fall in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.

Meanwhile, palm oil for March delivery lost 0.60% to 2,610 ringgit ($792) a tonne on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange after data showed exports fell from Malaysia, the world's second-largest producer.
