Crude palm oil prices weakened by 0.24 per cent to Rs 536.70 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators booked profit amid subdued demand in the spot market.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in October fell by Rs 1.30, or 0.24 per cent to Rs 536.70 per 10 kg in business turnover of 203 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in September shed 20 paise, or 0.04 per cent to Rs 546.90 per 10 kg in 22 lots.

Anlysts said besides profit-booking by participants, fall in demand in the physical market against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions, mainly influenced crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
