Crude palm oil futures traded a shade higher at Rs 464.70 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators indulged in creating fresh positions supported by pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in February month inched up by 70 paise, or 0.15% to Rs 464.70 per 10 kg in business turnover of 91 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in January contracts edged up by 30 paise, or 0.07% to Rs 459.10 per 10 kg in 24 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built-up by speculators after demand picked up in the spot markets, mainly led to the rise in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
