Crude palm oil prices rose 0.30 per cent to Rs 563 per 10 kg in futures trading today as traders created fresh positions after demand picked up in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in April moved up by Rs 1.70, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 563 per 10 kg, in a business turnover of 65 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in far-month May edged up by 60 paise, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 565 per 10 kg in 81 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built-up by participants due to pick up in demand in the spot market amid restricted supplies from producing belts mainly influenced crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
