Crude palm oil prices fell 0.26 per cent to Rs 533.70 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders booked profits on weak advices from physical markets.

Sufficient stocks position following higher supplies from producing regions too fuelled the downtrend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery this month eased by Rs 1.40, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 533.70 per 10 kg, in a business turnover of 165 lots.

The oil for delivery in November traded lower by 0.80 paise, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 532.30 per 10 kg in 85 lots.

Analysts said speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels following falling demand at spot market.
