Crude palm oil prices fell 0.64 per cent to Rs 645.60 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels amid fall in demand at spot market.

Meanwhile, negative cues from overseas market also dragged down the crude palm oil prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in the current month eased by Rs 4.20, or 0.64 per cent, to Rs 645.60 per 10 kg, in a business turnover of 124 lots.

The oil for delivery in May was traded lower by Rs 2.70, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 652.80 per 10 kg in 245 lots.

Analysts said profit-booking by speculators at prevailing levels and a fall in demand at spot market weighed on crude palm oil prices.
