Crude palm oil fall by 0.2% on sluggish demand

Speculators offloaded their positions due to subdued demand in the spot markets against sufficient supplies

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Crude palm oil prices fell by 0.25% to Rs 438.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators offloaded their positions due to subdued demand in the spot markets against sufficient supplies.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in May fell by Rs 1.10 or 0.25% to Rs 438.50 per 10 kg in business turnover of 58 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in April traded lower by 0.60 paise or 0.13% to Rs 437.40 per 10 kg in 114 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators amidst subdued demand in the spot markets against adequate supplies, mainly led to the fall in crude palm oil futures prices.
