Crude palm oil rises by 0.3% on spot demand

Crude palm oil rose by Rs 1.40 to Rs 452.10 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions on strong spot demand amid a firming trend in the Asian region.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in June rose by Rs 1.40, or 0.31%, to Rs 452.10 per 10 kg with a trading volume of 216 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in May rose by Rs 1.20, or 0.26%, to Rs 450.90 per 10 kg, with a business volume of 168 lots.

Analysts said firming trends in both global and spot markets supported the upside in crude palm oil futures prices here.
