Palm oil down 0.6% on easing spot demand

Oil for delivery in September contracts moved down by Rs 2.50, or 0.63%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Crude palm oil prices were down 0.64 per cent to Rs 391 per per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators engaged in reducing positions amid easing demand at the spot market.

Crude palm oil for delivery in August was down by Rs 2.50, or 0.64 per cent to Rs 391 per 10 kg at the Multi Commodity Exchange. The contract clocked a business turnover of 121 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in September contracts moved down by Rs 2.50, or 0.63 per cent to Rs 394.10 per 10 kg in 87 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators due to fall in demand at the spot market against adequate stock position following higher supplies from producing regions mainly kept pressure on crude palm oil prices in futures trade.
