Crude palm oil futures rise 0.31%

Crude palm oil prices were up 0.31 per cent to Rs 390 per 10 kg in futures trade in evening session today as traders created fresh positions.

The exchange opened for the evening session as it remained closed in the morning for 'Guru Nanank Jayanti'.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in December edged up by Rs 1.20, or 0.31 per cent to Rs 390 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 73 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in November contracts traded higher by 70 paise, or 0.19 per cent to Rs 375.10 per 10 kg in 46 lots.
 

Analysts attributed rise in crude palm oil futures to widening of positions by speculators at current levels.
