Crude palm oil rises by 0.6% as demand picks up

Speculators created fresh positions, taking positive cues from the spot markets

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Crude palm oil rose 0.59% to Rs 461.10 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions, taking positive cues from the spot markets on pick up in demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in September rose by Rs 2.70, or 0.59% to Rs 461.10 per 10 kg in business turnover of 103 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in August traded higher by Rs 1.20, or 0.25% to Rs 484.90 per 10 kg in 2 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built-up by speculators on the back of pick up in demand in the spot market mainly helped crude palm oil prices to trade higher at futures trade.
