Crude palm oil prices eased further 0.25 per cent to Rs 644.50 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators engaged in reducing their positions, taking negative cues from spot market on muted demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in April declined by Rs 1.60, or 0.25 per cent to Rs 644.50 per 10 kg in business turnover of 128 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in May was trading lower by Rs 1.60, or 0.24 per cent to Rs 651.50 per 10 kg in 54 lots.
Analysts said cutting down positions by participants owing to slackened demand in the physical market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts kept crude palm oil prices down at futures trade.
