Crude palm oil prices fell by 0.76 per cent to Rs 573 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels amid fall in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in March declined by Rs 4, or 0.76 per cent, to Rs 573 per 10 kg in business turnover of 271 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in February traded lower by Rs 3, or 0.52 per cent, to Rs 573.70 per 10 kg in 93 lots.

Market analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators at prevailing higher levels, fall in demand in the spot market mainly influenced crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
