Crude palm oil prices moved down by 0.15 per cent to Rs 659 per 10 kgs in futures market today as speculators booked profits at higher levels amid easing demand in the spot market.

Furthermore, ample stocks on increased supplies from growing regions weighed on prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in May declined by Re 1, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 659 per 10 kg in business turnover of 63 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in April contracts shed 90 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 652.20 per 10 kg in 168 lots.

Analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators, fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position, influenced crude palm oil prices in futures trade.
