Crude palm oil prices were rose 0.14 per cent to Rs 565.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants built up fresh bets, driven by pick-up in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in February edged up by 80 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 565.50 per 10 kg in business turnover of 220 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in January contracts was trading higher by 20 paise, or 0.04 per cent, at Rs 559.30 per 10 kg in 27 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by participants after uptick in demand in the physical market against restricted supplies from producing regions influenced crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
