Crude palm oil edged up by 0.53% to Rs 430.60 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators indulged in creating fresh positions as demand picked up in spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in February rose by Rs 2.30, or 0.53%, to Rs 430.60 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 375 lots.
Similarly, oil for delivery in January edged up by 0.60 paise, or 0.14%, to Rs 426 per 10 kg in 77 lots.
