Crude palm oil up 0.78% on rising demand

Restricted supplies from producing regions sustain uptrend

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Crude palm oil moved up by 0.78 per cent to Rs 453.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today, amid a pickup in domestic demand and restricted supplies from producing regions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in July rose by Rs 3.50, or 0.78 per cent to Rs 453.50 per 10 kg in business turnover of 187 lots.

The June contract edged up by Rs 3.30, or 0.73 per cent to Rs 453.50 per 10 kg in 121 lots.

Analysts said rising demand in the spot markets mainly led to gains in crude palm oil prices at futures trade here.
