Crude palm oil prices were up 0.81 per cent to Rs 372.10 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions at prevailing level amid pickup in demand at the spot market.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in September was up Rs 3, or 0.81 per cent to Rs 372.10 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 359 lots.
Also, the oil for delivery in August rose Rs 1.20, or 0.33 per cent to Rs 366.00 per 10 kg in 97 lots.
Analysts said building up of fresh positions by participants at existing levels and pickup in demand at the spot market mainly led to rise in crude palm oil prices in futures trade.
