Oil for delivery in February edged up by 1.31%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Crude palm oil prices moved up by 1.48% to Rs 465.90 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators indulged in creating fresh positions coupled with rising demand in spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in January rose Rs 6.80, or 1.48%, to Rs 465.90 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 511 lots.

Similarly, oil for delivery in February edged up by Rs 6.10, or 1.31%, to Rs 469 per 10 kg in 474 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built-up by speculators supported by rising demand in the spot markets, mainly led to the rise in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
