Crude palm oil rises 0.14 pc in futures trade

Crude palm oil prices edged up by 0.14 per cent to Rs 484.70 per 10 kg in futures trade in evening session today as speculators built up fresh position.

The exchange remained closed in morning session for 'Id-ul-Fitr' (Ramzan Eid).

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in June month edged up by 70 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 484.70 per 10 kg in business turnover of 24 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in July contract was trading higher by 30 paise, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 469.60 per 10 kg in 45 lots.
 

Analysts said building of positions by participants mainly led to rise in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
