Crude palm oil prices went up by 0.41 per cent to Rs 433.80 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators enlarged their positions, supported by rising demand in spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in August was trading higher by Rs 1.80, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 433.80 per 10 kg in business turnover of 60 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in July edged up by Rs 1.50, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 433 per 10 kg in 94 lots.

Market analysts said fresh positions created by speculators following rising demand in the spot markets, mainly influenced crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
