Cricket South Africa has extended the contract of its Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat until July 31, 2019.
The extension was recommended by a Board panel of directors and was announced by CSA President, Chris Nenzani, at the conclusion of today's CSA Board meeting held in Johannesburg, a media release said.
The Board noted with delight the exceptional progress made by CSA since Lorgat's appointment in 2013.

"Haroon has more than delivered on our expectations and even though his first term will only end in twelve months' time, the Board had no hesitation to confirm the services of Lorgat for a second three-year term.
"He took over at a time of great uncertainty and under very difficult circumstances, but his experience and astute leadership has stabilised our cricket and set us on the path of achieving our goal to be the best run sports federation on the continent," explained Nenzani.
"It's pleasing to hear the excellent feedback we get from all our stakeholders, especially our Members, commercial and broadcast partners. The culture in our environment has turned into a very positive one and we are poised to grow even stronger," he said.
