The CSE-40 was down 42.26 points during the week under review. The local bourse had jumped 176.49 points in the previous week.
The index opened at 6955.24 points and during the week it touched intra-week high of 6950.36 points but on profit booking the bourse slipped to close at 6912.98.
IT major Infosys Technologies was Rs 2310.60 end of the week. Blueprint Securities was at Rs 309.30.
State Bank of India gained to Rs 2383.85 up from Rs 2336.25 ended in the previous week.
Tata Steel slipped to Rs 429 and Vindus Holding was at Rs 307 at end of the week.
