CSI launches its Golden Jubilee celebrations at JNTU

The Computer Society of India (CSI), an industry, academic and research body of India's infotech professionals launched its Golden Jubilee celebrations here today at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU).

The event includes the Annual Convention of the CSI and International Conference on Emerging ICT for Bridging the Future and is set to be held from December 12 to 14.

In his welcome address, during inaugural session of the Knowledge Sharing Summit, JA Chowdary, Organising Chair CSI-2014 J A Chowdary said, "CSI intends to provide a forum to discuss about electronic governance initiatives of the government, implementation strategies as well as challenges and share learnings from best case studies in the area of e-governance".
 

"The summit would bring together policy makers, practitioners, industry leaders and academicians to deliberate, interact and develop actionable strategies for transparent and good governance," he said.

The keynote address of the day was delivered by E Sreedharan, popularly known as the "Metro Man".
