Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today appealed to the industries that developmental works under corporate social responsibility (CSR) should not be mere "pretension", but should be reflected on the ground.
Referring to CSR and the recent setting up of a trust comprising industries and state representatives to oversee two per cent of CSR expenditure, Das said it was the duty of the trustees to implement plans and programmes made for the development of local areas.
Apparently indicating construction of more toilets under CSR, an official release said quoting Das that even now women in Jharkhand wait till the dusk.
He also pitched for skill training for the youth.
