: Goa Tourism has organised cultural festivals in different parts of the country and would cover at least eight states to showcase its potential in monsoon tourism, a top official of that state's tourism department said here today.

Speaking to reporters here, Deputy Director of Goa Tourism, Pamela Mascarenhas said they are also promoting monsoons through domestic road shows at various cities all over India through print media, online campaigns on Facebook and Twitter for continuous engagement.

"Goa is most beautiful during the rains. We welcome tourists from Kerala to come and experience Goa's greenery, the hinterlands and its beautiful beaches," she said.

Mascarenhas said Goa witnesses several festivals during monsoon and Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) has special and lucrative offers for tourists this season, which allows them a peep into traditional Goan culture.

Gavin Dias, Deputy General Manager of GTDC, said the corporation has also introduced attractive packages for promoting tourism.
