Digital video network firm Culture Machine has raised USD 18 million (over Rs 110 crore) from Tiger Global, Zodius Capital and Times Internet.

The Series B funding will see Chris LaRosa, former product head of YouTube Music join the company's advisory board.

Culture Machine had previously raised USD 3.5 million (over Rs 21 crore) in Series A funding from Zodius Capital and Times Internet Ltd, it said in a statement.

Co-founded by former Disney and Youtube executives Sameer Pitalwalla and Venkat Prasad, Culture Machine creates digital video entertainment.

In an multi-screen, multi-platform world where content is personalised and social is the new distribution, creating targetted content for global communities at scale is a challenge, the company said.

"These digital video platforms are the next generation of distribution, and we are building a next generation media company that uses our proprietary technology platforms, to know what content to create and create that content at scale," it added.

Culture Machine has offices and studio facilities in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Chennai and is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Aleph Group PTE Ltd, Singapore.
