The Culture Ministry will showcase India's rich cultural heritage during the 'Make-in-India' week programme scheduled to be held in Mumbai from February 13-18.
The event, which will showcase innovation, design and sustainability from the manufacturing sector, will be opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 13, an official statement said.
"To promote appreciation of India's rich art and culture, Ministry of Culture has appointed South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC), Nagpur as the nodal agency to showcase the rich cultural heritage of India during the 'Make-in-India' week," it added.
All the seven zonal cultural centres will send 21 groups of folk artists, selected from all over the country, who will perform at the six-day long event.
Besides, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will highlight the world heritage monuments like Elephanta Caves, Ajanta and Ellora Caves, and Bhaja Caves through decorative lightings.
The event will also witness various exhibitions by the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Mumbai; Sangeet Natak Akademi (SNA), New Delhi; and Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai.
