Engine manufacturer Cummins India today reported a 22.61 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 222.16 crore for the quarter ended June 30.
The company had posted net profit at Rs 181.18 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal, Cummins India said in a BSE filing.
Income from operations during the quarter stood at Rs 1,387.69 crore as against Rs 1,317.42 crore in the year-ago period, up 5.33 per cent.

"The domestic economy continues to grow largely in areas which are positively impacted through continuing government investments in infrastructure," Cummins India Chairman and Managing Director Anant J Talaulicar said.
Stock of the company closed 4.11 per cent down at Rs 950.10 apiece on BSE.
