A curfew was tonight imposed in the industrial town of Bari Brahmana of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir after 10 people, including seven cops, were injured in stone-pelting during a clash which erupted between two groups.
Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu told PTI that the tension was triggered today by the clashes between two communities.
Shantmanu, who returned to Jammu after a visit to the area along with IGP, Jammu, said the situation is under control and Jammu-Pathankote highway has been opened to traffic after several hours of closure in the wake of the clashes.

Two vehicles were also set on fire even as police tried to disperse the mob, officials said.
Police used tear gas and resorted to cane charge, they said, adding that the disturbance continued till the evening and left 10 persons, including seven cops, injured.
"In the clashes and stone pelting, seven cops were injured and two vehicles were set on fire," the Divisional Commissioner said.
The traffic was stopped on the highway and was restored only tonight after imposition of curfew, the officials said.
