Curfew has been reimposed in Jamshedpur city today after a four-hour relaxation as tension continued to prevail in the affected areas of Mango.
East Singhbhum district administration had relaxed curfew from 1 PM to 5 PM today in all police station areas, barring four affected police station areas - Mango, Olidih, Azadnagar and MGM, district officials said.
Prompt action by the district administration averted some untoward incidents at Munshi Mohalla in Mango and Dhatkidih this afternoon.

The district administration has announced closure of all schools in the urban areas tomorrow in view of the prevailing situation, District Public Relation Officer, Avinash, said quoting Deputy Commissioner Dr Amitabh Kaushal.
Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has deferred the complementary matriculation and intermediate examinations, which began on July 21 at all six centres in Jamshedpur till further orders, Avinash said.
However, the examinees who had appeared in the first sitting today need not to reappear for the subject concerned, according a JAC notification here today.
Shops, business establishments and petrol pumps downed shutters, while vehicular traffic was thin during the curfew relaxation period.
Earlier in the morning, CRPF staged a flag march to inculcate confidence among the people.
Sub-Divisional Officer (Dalbhum), Alok Kumar said no fresh incident has taken place since last night and situation was under control.
Curfew was clamped in Jamshedpur and its peripheral areas following violent clashes between members of two communities over eve-teasing at Mango on Monday last.
Deputy Commissioner Amitabh Kaushal and SSP Anoop T Mathew said six FIRs had been lodged and 103 people arrested in connection with the clashes.
An inquiry has been ordered to probe the clashes, Kaushal said adding the probe would be conducted by Kolhan Division Commissioner Arun and DIG R K Dhan.
