The ongoing curfew in Chandan Nagar area of the city was relaxed for seven hours today, first time since it was clamped following communal clashes on August 20, police said.
"The curfew was relaxed for the first time from 9 AM to 4 PM in the locality and during which no untoward incident was reported from anywhere," Indore SP (West) Anil Singh Kushwaha told PTI.
The situation is fast returning to normalcy, he said.

"We are reviewing the situation and if everything remains normal then the administration would relax the curfew tomorrow for some more time," the SP said.
The curfew was clamped following violent clashes on August 20 between two groups in which 50 persons, including 20 policemen, were injured.
