Normal traffic was witnessed from today after the Commercial Vehicle Joint Action Committee (CVJAC) called off its 72-hour strike last night.
The strike which began from yesterday morning was called off as they did not want to create problems during the festive season, the CVJAC leaders said.
Traffic was thin yesterday as the city buses and taxis remained off the road due to the strike while the maxicab owners refused to join the city buses and taxis.
