CWG silver medal winner Harpeet Singh meets Hooda

Harpeet Singh, who won silver medal in the Commonwealth Games, today called on Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and sought his blessings.

The silver medal winner in 25-metre rapid fire shooting event in the 20th Commonwealth Games in Glasgow called on the Chief Minister here at his residence today, according to a press release.

His mother Amarjeet Kaur and relative Preetpal Singh Pannu were also present on the occasion, it added.

Hooda congratulated Singh, who hails from Karnal district of Haryana, on winning the Silver Medal in Shooting and wished him a bright future.

On the occasion, Singh said he also won two Gold Medals in Commonwealth Games 2010 held in New Delhi in 25-metre Centre Fire Pistol in pairs and individual both the events.
 

He said that he will represent India in forthcoming World Championship 2014 in Spain and Asian Games 2014 in Korea, the release added.
