The Cyberabad police solved five murders-for-gain cases, after arresting three men who allegedly killed five women at Shadnagar to steal their gold and other valuables, the police said here today.
M Srinivasulu, R Narasimha and M Ravi allegedly lured women who frequented toddy shops under the pretext of providing them work, offered them toddy and took them to isolated places.
Gold, silver and other valuables were stolen from them after plying them with excess quantity of toddy and making them unconscious, the police said.

"Whenever the victims tried to resist the accused, they used to kill them by strangulation," the police said, adding that accused killed five women at Shadnagar in neighbouring Mahabubnagar district as well as Shamshabad.
They were arrested near a toddy shop at Shadnagar yesterday. Further investigations are on, the police said.
