A day after spiritual leader Swami Paripoornananda was externed from Hyderabad city for six months, neighbouring Cyberabad and Rachkonda Police today issued notices to the seer as to why he should not be banished from their jurisdiction also.

A notice seeking his reply within 48 hours was served on the seer, who is currently at Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh, Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagawat said.

"We came to know that he was organising a yatra. We served a notice on him as to why he should not be externed from Rachakonda and Cyberabad commissionerate areas," Bhagawat told PTI.

Swami Paripoornananda, the head of Sri Peetham of Kakinada, was externed under the Telangana Prevention of Anti-Social and Hazardous Activities Act, yesterday.

BJP has reacted strongly to the ban order against the seer.

On July 9, the seer was put under house arrest ahead of his proposed 40 km 'Dharmagraha Yatra' (paadayatra) from Boduppal to Yadadri, which falls under the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, in protest against recent statements in social and electronic media allegedly against Hindu deities.

Paripoornananda had recently demanded arrest of Telugu actor and movie critic Kathi Mahesh, who too has been externed from Hyderabad, over his alleged statements against Hindu deities.

Mahesh, who was booked for allegedly making statements "disrespecting" Hindu deities, was externed on July 9.
