Cycle expedition of Air Warriors reaches Coimbatore

A team of 30 Air Warriors successfully completed their cycle expedition from Bengaluru to the city, to raise awareness about preserving nature.

The expedition, part of golden jubilee celebrations of 5 Base Repair Depot (BRD) Air Force, Sulur near here, led by Group Captain, S S Prabhune and Wing Commander Rajanarayan covered 360 KM in two days and reached here on August 1, an official release said.

The warriors travelled across Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem and Erode and visited various educational institutions on their way.

The objective of the expedition was to highlight the glorious past of Indian Air Force and BRD and spread awareness to save nature.
 

It was also meant to toughen the air warriors to face pressure and challenges, it added.

The expedition was flagged-off from Bengaluru on July 30 by Air Commodore, P R Gandhi, Air Officer Commanding, 26, Equipment Depot, Air Force.
