Cyient launches 54 digital centres in Govt schools in

IT firm Cyient today launched 54 Cyient Digital Centres (CDC) across Serilingampally Mandal Government Schools in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana as a part of the CSR initiative on completing 25 years.

The CDCs have three functionalities - computer laboratory, digital library and National Digital Literacy Mission Centres, a company release said.

The aim of the CDCs is to provide digital educational resources to community members and underprivileged students, it said.

The centres will touch the lives of more than 20,000 underprivileged children, the company claimed.

"Additionally, each centre is expected to train 1000 community members from the surrounding areas to operate a computer or a digital access device and use the internet. 50,000-pus citizens from the age of 16 to 60 years are likely to benefit from this initiative," the release added.
