D Y Patil 'B' beat Reliance One in Super Over; enter semis

D Y Patil 'B' held their nerves to beat Reliance One via the super over in a thrilling quarter-final match of the 12th IDBI Federal Life Insurance DY Patil T20 Cup cricket tournament today.

The match ended in a tie, with Reliance One tying with their rivals' total of 168-7, leading to the Super Over tie-break that DY Patil 'B' won by chasing down 13 runs needed for victory to make the last four.

In the other quarter-finals, Central Railways halted Mumbai Customs' run, winning by 75 runs, CAG beat D Y Patil 'A' by eight runs and BPCL got the better of State Bank of Hyderabad by eight wickets.
 

In the semi-finals, to be played on February 25, D Y Patil 'B' would take on CAG, while BPCL would lock horns with Central Railway.

The final will be held on the same day.

Central Railway 164-6 in 20 overs (Saanket Bhaye 50, Pravin Deshetti 39; Akash Parkar 2-41) beat Mumbai Customs 89 in 14.4 overs (Asad Pathan 34, Vidyadhar Kamath 4-18; Santosh Saxena 2-15) by 75 runs.

State Bank of Hyderabad 89 in 18.5 overs (B Sumanth 34; Shreyas Gopal 4-16, Aavishkar Salvi 3-12) lost to BPCL 92-2 in 13.2 overs (Shreyas Gopal 34 not out, Manish Pandey 32 not out) by 8 wickets.

CAG 165-6 in 20 overs (Biplab Samantray 59, Ankit Kaushik 43, Ankit Sharma 32 not out; Shubham Ranjane 2-23) beat D Y Patil 'A' 156-6 in 20 overs (Kedar Jadhav 41 not out, Yogesh Takawale 36, Sarfaraz Khan 31; Biplab Samantaray 2-32, Gurinder Singh 2-34) by 9 runs.
