Acting on a tip-off, the police picked up the duo - Babu Ali and Dildar Ali - from a dhaba at Kalajal in Baihata police station when they had gone there to have a meal.
The dacoits are suspects in many cases of hihgway robbery including a case of hijcking of a truck loaded with bitumen worth over Rs five lakh a few months ago.
