Dacoits loot cash, valuables from company official's house

Dacoits looted valuables worth Rupees five lakh from the house of a corporate group official at RIT, about 3 kms from here, of Seraikela-Kharswan district in the early hours today, police said.

Masked dacoits entered the house of Rajesh Kumar Singh, official of a known corporate group, breaking through the window grills and looted property including cash, jewellery worth around Rs. 5 lakh at gun-point from family members, Officer-in-charge of RIT police station, Amarjeet Prasad said.

Singh was allegedly assaulted by the dacoits as he resisted.

The dacoits have snatched away the mobile phone of Singh.

A sword and few currency notes of Rs.500 denomination each were found lying outside his house.
 

A police team, which has reached the spot on being informed, have taken impression of finger prints and started investigation, Prasad said.
