Voicing sadness over Dadri lynching incident, Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today appealed to the people of the state to maintain peace and cooperate with the government.
Naik termed it a "heart rending incident" and said he was confident that the state would overcome the situation.
Iqlakh, 50, was beaten to death and his 22-year-old son Danish was critically injured by a 200-strong mob which had barged into their house on Monday night following rumours that the family had consumed beef in a Dadri village on the outskirts of Delhi.
