Dadri yard remodelling commissioned by Railways

Electronic interlocking and massive yard remodelling has been commissioned at Dadri station in Uttar Pradesh to enable faster train movement in the Delhi-Howrah section.

The yard at Dadri station is redesigned in such a way to ease both incoming and outgoing train traffic and it is expected to facilitate passengers boarding and deboarding in a hassle-free manner.

"Introduction of electronic interlocking and yard remodelling are part of the ongoing process of modernisation of Indian Railways network to improve mobility in train operations on the busiest route of Delhi-Howrah section," an official release said.

The electronic interlocking involves 318 routes adopting most modern signalling system with centralised operation controlling 45 signals and 176 track circuits with massive yard remodelling, it said.
 

"Dadri is a complex yard in North Central Railway spread over six kilometres on busiest route of Delhi-Howrah section and also having connectivity with National Thermal Power Corporation Power Plant and Container Depot," it added.
