Newspapers in Manipur today failed to hit the stands for second consecutive day because of threat to distributors by some "unwanted elements", sources in the media houses said.
There was a late night discussion between distributors and some "unwanted elements" but no agreement could be reached, they said.
A spokesman of the All Manipur Newspapers Sales and Distributors said if some unwanted elements wanted their stories to be published, they should hold talks with the editors concerned and not disturb the distributors of the dailies.
