Daimler India VP (Marketing) V R V Sriprasad to quit

German commercial vehicle maker Daimler today said its Indian subsidiary's Vice-President (Marketing, Sales and After Sales) V R V Sriprasad has decided to quit the company with effect from May 1.

Sriprasad was associated with the Daimler India Commercial Vehicle (DICV), the 100 per cent wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler AG since it commenced operation in 2008.

"R Ramesh who was hitherto AVP - Aftersales will take-over as Head -Aftersales & Exports and V Sreeram, who was hitherto AVP - Sales will take-over as Head - Domestic Sales, Product Management & Network. Both functions will report to the Managing Director and CEO of DICV," a company statement said.
 

"Sriprasad has played a very important role in the creation of brand "BharatBenz".... His knowledge and experience has helped DICV to establish itself as a comprehensive player in the commercial vehicle industry," DICV MD and CEO Marc Llistosella said.

Early this month, DICV announced that its Vice-President (Supply Chain) Erich Nesselhauf would become the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer effect from June 1.

He would be replacing Marc Llistosella who will be elevated as Head (marketing, sales and after sales) Truck Asia and Daimler India Commercial Vehicle.
