The College of Dairy Science and Technology of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana today launched processed goat milk.
Goat milk is naturally homogenised better digested and rarely causes lactose intolerance, A K Puniya, dean of the college said.
This initiative is going to benefit the goat farmers of surrounding areas as the popularity of goat milk has increased, he said, adding due to its health benefits, it is becoming popular among consumers.
