The organisation termed the approval of Anand Marriage Act in both houses of Parliaments as a partial relief for the community.
Amendments made in the Anand Marriage Act-1909 were insufficient and does not fully resolve the identity crisis of Sikhs, Dal Khalsa general secretary Manjinder Singh said here.
The irony is that for the registration of marriages, adoption and succession, Sikhs have to adopt a set of procedures "incompatible" with their belief systems, he said.
